How Quiet Tread Works
Quiet Tread is a special formulated sound vibration absorbent mat. Designed to be easily mounted to the underside of diamond plate stair treads and landings. When applied, Quiet Tread absorbs acoustical noise vibrations commonly associated with metal stairs. The sound reduction makes metal stair noise levels comparable to concrete stairs with normal foot traffic.

For New Construction

Rated a Class 1 / Class A Fire Retardant
Quiet Tread was designed to meet the requirements of the International Building Code. Fire tested, Quiet Tread is rated Class A / Class 1. Quiet Tread has a Flame spread rating of between zero and twenty-five. The material is effective against severe fire exposure. In general, Quiet Tread is a inorganic material such as metal, brick or tile.
ASTM e84 Tested - Class A Fire and Smoke Rated
Quiet Tread was fire tested to measure the material's reacton after being exposed to fire, in terms of flame spread and smoke density. With the ASTM E-84 Class A rating, Quiet Tread has the lowest fire spread rate and minimal smoke production.
